Crayola Factory

I was reading a friends blog one day and she had posted about a fun place her family had gone. I knew we had to go there and soon! One Saturday I woke up feeling the need to get out of the house and I already knew where we were headed...the Crayola Factory! It was a little bit of a drive but well worth it.

We walked into the first room and there was a giant car that you could draw on like a dry erase board.

This museum was so much fun because around every corner was something the kids could draw, color, mold, create, etc. It was so hands on and since Kobe and Lilian love coloring and making crafts they were in heaven the entire time!

We were all also given several tokens to buy things.
Here's Lily buying a purple marker. There was also some crayons and modeling clay.

Kobe and Lily drew pictures on the "sidewalk" with chalk.

One of my favorite things was the wax drawings.
They gave each child a paper turtle and a long q-tip. The kids would dip the q-tip into the wax and then draw on their turtle. It dried really fast and looked really neat. The kids did this for a long time.

This was a small room where music was playing and as the kids moved it showed on the screen. They were shy at first but once some of the other kids cleared out they loosened up a little.

Drawing with light.

Crafting with Daddy

Painting a picture with stamps

Once they were done painting, they put their pictures in this drying oven and once it came out it was dry, so cool!
Lily waiting patiently for her picture

While the other kids played and had fun, Jaxon slept in the carrier. He was a happy boy!

The Crayola Factory did not disappoint!

Wow the kids are getting so big! Looks like such a fun outing. We went to the Hallmark kids museum in Kansas City which had all those things too - you could spend a lifetime in there.
