May was the month we had to start saying goodbye to our friends. So many people were moving, not just us. Some were graduating, some moving for sanity (us).
This was a picture taken of all the kids at a graduation party for Paul Johnson, a dental student.
We also had a lot of fun going to parks to enjoy the nice weather.
Baseball
We didn't sign Kobe up for Tball this year because he would have missed half the season because we were moving in the middle of it. Fortunately for us, we had a friend going out of town and they asked if Kobe wanted to borrow their jersey and play in their son's place. Kobe was so excited and it filled his desire to play Tball just enough!
Hanging out, learning the game.
Lily kept herself entertained while Kobe played.
Jaxon
Jaxon is growing like crazy and turned 3 months old this month! Cutest thing ever!
My Birthday
I turned 28 on the 22nd. My mom and dad were here and everyone tried really hard (and succeeded) in making it a memorable and wonderful day. Since we were in the midst of moving preparations, my to do list was packing, cleaning, packing, and cleaning. On the menu for dinner was frozen chicken wings. Since all the cooking utensils were packed there was no way to make a cake, so I thought. My family had other plans. Justin had planned on making a cake at a friends house when he was done at school luckily he talked to my mom beforehand because she had already bought everything she needed for a cake. My mom, dad and the kids made a cake estimating measurements, and it turned out great! For dinner they all insisted on going out to dinner and we went to a great Mexican restaurant. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it was amazing. Oh and the fresh quacamole was to die for. While I really expected a day full of work, I should have known that Justin and my parents wouldn't let that happen. It was a great day!
Pack, Clean, Load, Drive
My parents came to help us with the moving process. It was ALOT of work and I'm so grateful we had extra help. Wednesday the 23rd we had wonderful people come help us load the moving truck and Thursday afternoon, after a busy morning cleaning, we were on the road. We drove 5+ hours to my uncle's house in Washington, PA and stayed there for the night. Friday we headed out early and drove 13+hours to Des Moines where we stayed with our good friends the Kramers.
Our visit with the Kramers was so fun! The kids played and had a great time and Justin and I enjoyed catching up with Heather and Austin. Saturday morning the Pymms came over for breakfast and then we headed out again and drove the final 16+ hours to Utah.
I hated to say goodbye again to such good friends :(
Utah
While it was really hard saying goodbye to Justin (Daddy) we've really enjoyed our time with family.
The kids love going for joy rides (around the block) in Grandpa's Dune Buggy.
Uncle Bret was so sweet to paint Lily's fingernails when everyone else said they were to busy.
Another great thing about Grandma and Grandpa's house is the flat sidewalks. Kobe and Lily have been able to ride their bikes and they are both doing great and feeling much more comfortable.
Cool shades, dude!
May was a busy and exciting month and we're looking forward to more exciting things to come this summer!
