Friday June 7th was the start Moving Weekend. In the morning we picked up the truck, loaded it all day with lots of help in the afternoon and that evening we had one last family gathering.
Don't worry we got the most precious cargo loaded first thing!
It was a crazy, busy, and very hot day. I caught Lily taking a break.
Saturday Morning we left early in the morning and drove all. day. long.
Since we didn't want to catch up to my parents, who were driving the Penske truck (we wanted to stay behind them) we took the detour over Hoover Dam. It was really cool. We saw some portapotties and decided to stop for a bathroom break.When we got out of the van Lily started crying and complaining about how hot it was (it was roasting) and she said over and over that she wanted to turn around and go back to Utah because Arizona was too hot. While we were going to the bathroom, Lily heard some crazy noises coming from in between to portapotties and wanted to investigate. This is what was causing all that racket.
The kids are still talking about the lizard they saw that day!
What is it about a sleeping baby?
Overall the drive went really well. We pulled up exactly five minutes after my parents did (they left 1.5 hours before us and had to stop to get some tires changed) and the kids were great. Now if only the boxes unpacked themselves!
