November Update

November started out on a high note with a visit to the Phoenix Temple Open House. Justin and I had both been able to volunteer at the open house and it was really neat for us to finally be able to take our kids and our friends, Kris and Harry and Paxon to go and see the temple. It was beautiful!

We sure love our temple! And it is so nice to have it less than 5 miles from our house!

Brielle turned 3 months old this month and she still won't smile for the camera!

I received an email this month from both Kobe and Lily's teachers saying they were receiving awards in the weekly assembly. Conveniently, it was the same assembly that Lily's morning class was performing. Kill three birds with one stone!
The kindergarteners were so cute singing about all the groups of Native Americans that lived in the United States.

Kobe received an award for doing really well in class during spalding time.

And Lily's award was for actively participating in class discussion.
This is her PM teacher, Mrs. Rogers.

Later in the month, Kobe's class participated in the 2nd Grade Greek Olympics. They were team Spartan.
Jaxon enjoyed putting on the costume too!

They all participated in the foot race, javelin throw, long jump, chariot races, and the shot put. Kobe won 1st place in the shot put and also won a sportsmanship award.  It was a lot of fun!

The day before Thanksgiving break, Lily's enrichment kindergarten class had a museum to show off their hard work learning about the Native Americans in the United States. They sang songs, and showed their many projects they had made.

It's neat to see all the fun things they are learning!

Thanksgiving this year was spent with the Hookers and Josh, Tiana, Matthias and Jasmin drove from San Diego to be here. We even got family pictures taken!
