Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve we finally got around to decorating gingerbread houses. We always love this tradition.

I am not even joking, 5 minutes after we took this picture Lily threw up all over herself, her house, everywhere. She got the bug that was going around.

The superhero that makes it all happen. My mom is amazing, she created so many fun traditions for our family and works tirelessly every year to make sure they all happen.

After gingerbread houses, we ate pizza and then got ready for the annual Nativity.

Jessica's family played the hand bells.

Lily was an angel and once again-just after she said her part she threw up all over.  After we cleaned her up we put her in bed-poor girl.

Grandma Lewis recited "Twas the Night Before Christmas." This is one of my fondest memories of Christmas growing up. I know there won't be many more years that she will be able to do this, but it makes me happy to have my kids experience it while they can.

Then it was time for pajamas. The boys were both very excited for their new Mickey Mouse pajamas.

Brielle didn't care much about hers!

Poor Lily was too sick to want to open hers, but at 10pm she woke up asking about them so we let her open them.
She looked at them, and then went back to bed. She put them on in the morning!

While we were sleeping SANTA CAME!!!

The kids of course woke up very excited, but we made them stop for a picture!

Lily was feeling much better, but Justin had caught the bug so he spent most of the day in bed, bummer.

The kids got everything they wanted and were very spoiled! Because everyone was sick or getting sick, we ended up not getting together with all of our extended family, which was a bummer because I was looking forward to seeing everyone, but I really enjoyed eating and playing games with everyone that did come. We had such a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed every second celebrating with family.
