Quality instead of Quantity

The two years Justin was working on his master's degree his schedule was fairly flexible and he was able to spend quite a bit of time at home, which we definitely took for granite. Nowadays, he spends anywhere from 10-12 hours, sometimes more, at the university in classes and studying. WE MISS HIM!!! This past weekend, we had a few hours on Saturday and again on Monday (of course we spend Sunday together too, but it's a little different) to spend together as a family. Time spent in family activities is more cherished now. I believe, now more than ever, the old adage that quality is more important than quantity, because we are living for those quality moments with Justin since we definitely don't have quantity!
Saturday we went to a park close by that has a carousel. We played on the playground and rode the carousel three times. Lily sat on her animal and danced to the music and Kobe clapped his hands to the beat. They really enjoyed it and we loved watching them and seeing their excitement!
Monday we went to our ward's BBQ. It was at a lake not too far from our house. The weather was perfect for a day outside. We enjoyed being by the water and Kobe loved feeding the ducks and running around with his new friends. It was fun to get to know some more people in the ward and visiting a new place in the area. We didn't have our camera so no pictures :(
We really enjoyed the long weekend and the extra time to spend with Daddy! We love you honey and appreciate the hard work you are putting into our future!
